Two citizens drown off Suhar Sea, three people rescued

Two Omanis drowned while swimming in the Suhar Sea in Majaz al Kubra in the Saham area of North Batinah, while the rescue teams from the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance (PACDA) , in cooperation with citizens, rescued three people from drowning.

The operation center of PACDA received a report about the drowning of five people in the Sea of ​​Sohar. Immediately, the rescue teams rushed to the site. Upon arrival, it was found that  4 people were already rescued by the residents. Of the three rescued one of them is in stable condition while the other two are safe.

The rescue team managed to evacuate the fifth person from the sea and Taslima to the ambulance team, who in turn performed heart and lung resuscitation until they arrived at the hospital, but the pers uron died despite the crew’s attempt to revive him and provide him with emergency medical care.

PACDA has urged people not to swim in locations where there are sea currents and to take risks in places where swimming is not allowed to avoid drowning.
