Muscat: A deep depression in the Arabian Sea intensified into a tropical storm named Kyarr on Friday, the Oman Meteorological Department said in its weather bulletin.
The storm is having a wind speed of 34-45 knots around the centre.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast from Met office said mainly clear skies likely to prevail over most parts of the Sultanate with coulds formation over Al Hajar mountains.
