State Council team in Pakistan to promote parliamentary ties

MUSCAT: The State Council delegation, led by Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, State Council Chairman, left for a four-day long official visit to Pakistan at an invitation from Mian Raza Rabbani, Chairman of Senate of Pakistan on January 11. The visit lasting until January 14 includes joint talks with the President of the Senate of Pakistan to review ways to promote parliamentary relations between the Sultanate and Pakistan. The delegation included Al Sheikh Hamed Mohammed Abdallah Bahwan Al Mukhaini,  Mohamed Ahmed Ali al Rawas,  Ahmed Sulaiman Saleh al Maimani,  Dr Wafa Salim Ali al Harrasy and Dr Aisha Ahmed Yousuf Al Washahi.
The delegation was seen off by Sheikh Al Khattab bin Ghalib al Hinai, Deputy Chairman of the State Council and Dr Suad bint Mohammed Al Lawati, Deputy Chairperson of the Council and Dr Khalid bin Salim al Saidi, Secretary General of the State Council and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Sultanate. Dr Mantheri was welcomed upon arrival at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad by Mian Raza Rabbani, Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan.
