SCT receives second batch of students

SALALAH: Salalah College of Technology (SCT) received second batch of students for the Academic Year 2016-2017. This semester intake is 461 students in total.


The Induction programme started by receiving students at the Multiple Purpose Hall in the presence of the Dean, Assistant Deans, Head of English Language Center and Student Affairs staff.


College Dean Dr Hamdan Mohammed al Manthari welcomed and congratulated them on joining SCT and conveyed them the mission, vision and values of the college.


Dr Said Omar al Mashiki, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, also welcomed new students and acknowledged about the academic departments of the college. He also stressed on the importance of the student guide and about the awareness of all rules and regulations to experience a more successful and less stressful academic life.


Dr Amal al Shahri, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, also welcomed the new students and apprised them of support and services given by the Student Affairs department to the students. She also assured students for all round support from her departments.


Saeed al Mashiki, Head of English Language Center, elaborated on various levels of the foundation programmes and its rules and regulations.


Salem al Mashani gave a presentation on the ‘On-line registration system (CTMS)’ and steps to register as a new student. Amna al Marhoon explained about the dress code, ethics and etiquette of students during their studies in college.
