Kampala, Uganda: Oman defeated Uganda by four wickets after a supreme bowling effort and Jatinder Singh’s half-century in their third match of the World Cricket League Division III tournament in Kampala, Uganda on Friday.
Batting first, Uganda were bowled out for a paltry for 144 in 46.3 overs. Bilal Khan (3/28) and Zeeshan Maqsood (3/34) scalped six wickets between them as the hosts were skittled out cheaply.
In reply, Oman relied on the solid effort from Jatinder, who slammed eleven boundaries in his crucial knock of 58 runs.
Captain Sultan Ahmed also chipped in with 22 while Naseem Khushi (14) and Ajay Lalcheta (19) ensured Oman got home without a hassle. Oman now have four points from three games with a net run rate of +0.254 behind Canada’s +0.709.
