MUSCAT: The Oman Tennis Association (OTA) has successfully organised the OTA Monthly Junior tennis tournament on November 24 and 25.
The OTA awarded the top two players in each category at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher on Sunday.
The players participated on the said event with a total of 86 players from 10 under unisex, 12, 14, 16 and 18 under boys and girls.
OTA Chairman Khalid bin Said al Adi, OTA Treasurer Siddiq Qamar al Hashmi, OTA board member Khalid Said al Busafi and OTA Executive Manager Salman AbdulRahim al Balushi were the guest of honours and distributed the awards to all the winners and runner-ups of the event. The Oman Tennis Association thanked SQSC staff and OTA staff for supporting of the monthly tournament.
The winners and runner-ups of each category are:
Under-10 Unisex: Champion Charlie Sennhauser beat runner-up Shantanu Sriram 7-5
Under-12 Girls: Champion Kaaviya Jayakumar beat runner-up Ananya Chaudhary 6-1
Under-12 Boys: Champion Marwan Faiz al Khanjari beat runner-up Isa Ali al Suleimani 9-2
Under-14 Girls: Champion Safanah al Riyami beat runner-up Tanaal al Riyami 6-2
Under-14 Boys: Champion Muneer al Rawahi beat runner-up Tyler Blake 9-5
Under-16 Girls: Champion Aisha al Suleimani beat runner-up Safanah al Riyami 9-3
Under-16 Boys: Champion Tim Rutherford beat runner-up Muneer al Rawahi 9-4
Under-18 Boys: Champion Younis al Rawahi beat runner-up Tim Rutherford 6-4,6-4
