Omantel has teamed up with Cisco and International Information Technology Company (IITC), an OHI Group company, to jointly provide a flexible business model that allows our customers to deploy Networks on-demand, also termed Network-as-a-Service (NaaS). This translates into end-to-end enterprise networks now being delivered, from hardware appliances to software licenses, connectivity and managed operations all as turnkey monthly-expenses SLA-bounded services without the need for drastic upfront investments.

This facilitation will lower the acquisition barriers for many of our customers in Oman, placing smart and innovative ICT solutions at their disposal in an unprecedented easy-to-start service-led manner. By launching NaaS, Omantel will be the first company in Oman to provide its customers with this exclusive facilitation module.

The three companies have built this partner-led NaaS program as means to accelerate investments in smart technologies by simplifying procurement procedures for our customers whilst offering easy and predictable payment installments. Moreover, NaaS will pave the way for expanding digital services and developing systems and networks that are used for smart solutions including Internet of Things and Cloud Computing platforms for smart cities in a natively- integrated way with simplified support processes.

Fadi Nasser, General Manager of ICT Unit at Omantel, commented: “Our partnership with Cisco and IITC is a strategic decision that will have a great impact on the ICT sector in the Sultanate, as businesses and organisations will have an alternative option to free up their operations from constant technology investments and upkeep while getting access to smart digital technologies in an easy and affordable manner.”
