Oman-Poland cooperation reviewed at joint meetings

WARSAW: Polish Senate Speaker Stanislaw Karczewski on Thursday received the State Council delegation of the Oman-Poland Friendship Committee, which is currently visiting Poland. Salim bin Ismail bin Suwaid, head of the Omani-Poland Friendship Committee, is leading the delegation.


The Speaker welcomed the delegation and hailed the relations between the Sultanate and Poland and commended the prospects for its development in various areas.


He noted the role of the Oman-Polish parliamentary friendship committee in furthering ties.


Salim bin Ismail bin Suwaid emphasised that the Sultanate is keen to strengthen cooperation with Poland and expressed the expectation that the visit would contribute to the opening up of new prospects for bilateral cooperation in all areas.


The committee held discussion session under the chairmanship of Salim bin Ismail bin Suwaid and the Vice-President of the Polish Senate and chairman of the committee in the presence of members of the committees.


During the talks, relations between the Sultanate and Poland were reviewed.


The Polish Senate Vice-President welcomed the delegation and underscored the role of the visit in consolidating relations between the two councils and supporting areas of common concern.


Salim bin Ismail bin Suwaid highlighted the important role of mutual visits in deepening cooperation.


The meetings were attended by members of the committee, Nada Hassan al Jamali, Rahma Hamed al Musharrafi, Dr Saleh Salem Salem al Busaidi and Mohammed Salem al Khathiri.
