Oman, Pakistan review cooperation

MUSCAT: Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, received in his office at Mu’askar Bait Al Falaj on Monday Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistani Air Force, currently visiting the Sultanate.


During the meeting they exchanged cordial conversations and reviewed the existing cooperation between two friendly countries, in addition to discussing several matters of common concern.


The meeting was attended by Air Vice Marshal Matar bin Ali bin Matar al Obaidani, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), and the delegation accompanying the guest.


Maj Gen Salim bin Musallam Qatan, Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC), also received Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Khan and his delegation at the College’s building in Mu’askar Bait Al Falaj.


They exchanged cordial conversations and reviewed viewpoints on several matters of common concern.


The meeting was attended by Brigadier Mohammed bin Ya’arub al Saifi, NDC Assistant Commandant, and NDC officials.


VISIT TO MTC, SAF MUSEUM


Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Khan and his delegation, visited the Military Technological College (MTC).


The visiting delegation was briefed on the college, its study and service utilities, and advanced modern technologies. They were also briefed on the MTC general course, various technological majors and study stages. The delegation toured several MTC sections and labs.


The Pakistani guest and his delegation also visited the SAF Museum at the Bait Al Falaj Castle.


Brigadier Saleh bin Ahmed al Hinai, Head of the SAF Military Protocols and Public Relations, received the guests and escorted them in a tour to various sections of the museum.


They viewed the historic manuscripts and models, as well as the Omani architecture in the Bait Al Falaj Castle. They were also briefed on the progress enjoyed by SAF during the prosperous reign of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
