MUSCAT: Oman’s national football team has started a training camp at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher from August 27 to September 6 in preparation for their friendly match against Afghanistan on August 30 and their AFC Asian Cup qualifying match against Maldives on September 5. Coach Pim Verbeek has picked 26 players for the camp and he called on Nadir Awadh and Ahmed Kano who play in Qatar to join the camp. The coach has decided to exclude Ali al Habsi, Raid Ibrahim, Nathir al Maskari and Samir Salih from the team.
