OCCI economic committee meets

MUSCAT: The Economic Committee of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) held its first meeting for 2017 under the chair of Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, member of the OCCI Board of Directors, Head of the Committee. The meeting began by stressing the importance of the agreement on the establishment of OCCI Chair between OCCI and Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), which will contribute to provision of indirect services related to the establishment of an information bank, economic and trade studies, researches and analysis to benefit the private sector. The Committee discussed its delegation to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to meet with the organisers of the Expo 2020 which will be held in Dubai to identify opportunities that can benefit the Omani private sector. — ONA
