Muscat: The Board of Directors of the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) held the second meeting of 2017 under the chairmanship of Nasser bin Khamis bin, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Chairman of the NCSI Board of Directors.
The Board reviewed and discussed a range of topics on the agenda including the adoption of the minutes of the first meeting held in April 2017. It also reviewed the report of the Centre, which included the achievements and work carried out by the NCSI during the period from April to September of this year. The achievements of NCSI that were presented at the meeting included coming first at the GCC level and eighth at the West Asia level from among 173 countries in the world in the open data report published by the US-based Open Data Watch Organisation.
