The Ministry of Health has announced its plans to appoint Omanis in place of expatriates for a number of positions. The eligible jobseekers should apply to the Ministry within 15 days from October 22 until November 2 . The posts to be filled will include pharmacists, assistant pharmacists, laboratory technicians, physiotherapists, denturists, x-ray technicians and opticians.

Last week, the Council of Ministers said 25,000 jobs will be offered for Omanis in both public and private institutions during the first phase, which will begin from December.  The cabinet approves the executive plans that will be implemented to create the appropriate conditions that will enable the government to continue absorb more job seekers according to plans and programmes, aimed at achieving this objective.
