Minister invited to take part in CSLF

MUSCAT: Mohammed bin Salim al Toobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs, received an invitation from Suhail Mohammed bin Faraj al Mazrouie, Minister of Energy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to take part at the 7th Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum (CSLF).
The Forum, hosted by the UAE Ministry of Energy during December 2017, provides an opportunity to discuss the effective methods to address challenges of the field of capturing and storing carbon on broad basis.
This came when Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs received in his office on Sunday Mohammed bin Sultan al Suwaidi, the UAE Ambassador to the Sultanate.
The meeting reviewed means of joint cooperation between the Sultanate and UAE within the framework of encouraging cooperation and exchange of expertise with friendly and brotherly countries in scientific, research and academic fields.
They also discussed the importance of enhancing knowledge exchange in the field of environment and climate affairs.
They also highlighted the importance of reviewing advanced experience in environment protection and combatting pollution and benefiting from them in enhancing the level of sustainable development. — ONA
