MUSCAT: Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health, received the Best Quality Leadership Award 2018 (Platinum Category) at his office during a meeting with Dr Qamrah Said al Saririyah, Director-General of Quality Assurance Centre, in the presence of Dr Ali bin Talib al Hinai, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health for Planning Affairs. The Health Ministry had received the award in Las Vegas, US, on December 10.
The Ministry of Health has accomplished a remarkable achievement at the international level by winning the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) Best Quality Leadership Award 2018 (Platinum Category) in recognition of the ministry’s persistent efforts to advance the Sultanate’s health services.
The award recognises the organisations, companies and public administrations that have demonstrated outstanding leadership by taking innovative and initiative-driven steps to improve and advance the development of quality. The award is instituted by the ESQR, based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The Ministry of Health had received the ESQR’s International Diamond Prize for Excellence in Quality 2017, at a ceremony held in Vienna, Austria, last year.
