Innovation Park Muscat signs MoU with Iran’s Pardis Technology Park

MUSCAT: The Innovation Park Muscat signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Iran’s Pardis Technology Park in the field of training and knowledge transfer.

The MoU was signed by Abdul Baqi Ali al Khabouri, director, Science Park Department at the Research Council (TRC) and Amin Khaljan, director general of Public Relations and International Affairs, from the other side, in the presence of HE Dr Hilal Bin Ali al Hinai, Secretary General, TRC, Dr Fahd bin al Julanda Al Said, Assistant Secretary-General for Innovation Development, and representatives from both parties.


The memorandum stipulates that Pardis will enhance the capabilities of IPM’s employees through the exchange programmes, effective and specialised training courses in the various areas of focus and appropriate advisory and consultancy back up to the consultancy teams at the IPM.


The areas of cooperation include the provision of advisory services to tenants in the business incubators in terms of enhancing the climate of innovation and entrepreneurship, establishing a growing and sustainable knowledge economy, providing a model environment for incubating projects, supporting innovation and encouraging small, medium and medium enterprises (SMEs, in order to overcome the challenges and difficulties that may face their future work.


The MoU emphasises the two parties’ intention to cooperate in the establishment of the Iranian Representation Office in the Sultanate, especially at Muscat Innovation


Park.


The agreement will coordinate and facilitate the transfer of knowledge-based products, investments, expertise and technology in the areas of common interests.
