Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has sent a cable of congratulations to Ueli Maurer of the Swiss Confederation on the occasion of him being elected as the president. His Majesty the Sultan wished success to President Maurer in leading the Swiss people towards further progress and prosperity, and the friendship relations between the two countries further progress.
