MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander, has conferred Excellent Service Medals on a number of senior Royal Oman Police (ROP) officers. The medals were pinned on the officers by Lt Gen Hassan bin Mohsin al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, at a special celebration held at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences on Sunday on the occasion of ROP Day celebrated on January 5 every year.
Lt Gen Al Shraiqi congratulated the officers and said the medals signify His Majesty’s appreciation for the continuous efforts made by ROP personnel to serve this dear country under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander. Lt Gen Al Shraiqi pinned Efficiency Medal on a number of senior ROP officers and honoured some other long-serving officers. — ONA
