Ghubra school hosts BAPU@150

MUSCAT: Indian School Al Ghubra began two-years long celebrations to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Indian freedom icon Mahatma Gandhi on Tuesday. The special assembly began with a tribute to the ‘Father of the Nation’, with the rendition of the popular hymn ‘Vaishnava Janato’ by the school choir. A presentation titled ‘Bapu@150’ brought out the values that formed an integral part of Gandhi’s life and his teachings. The quiz on the life of Gandhi threw light on his varied accomplishments. To celebrate the life of the great leader an art competition was held for all the classes. The students also engaged in a project wherein they depicted the life and works of Gandhi.
