Fourth ‘Industrial Revolution’ seminar organised

MUSCAT: A seminar entitled “4th Industrial Revolution” was held on Tuesday at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) under the patronage of Sheikh Hassan bin Ahmed al Nabhani, CEO of Oman Investment Fund within the activities of the Fourth Asian Education Forum, hosted by the Sultanate represented by the Ministry of Education. The seminar included a lecture by Dr Wael bin Saif al Harrasi about the 4th Industrial Revolution. In the first theme of the seminar, Dr Amir al Yahmadi who talked about the “Robot in the Sultanate”, Ismail Yassin about the “Robot: Future Prospects and Aspirations, and Sultan al Subhi about “Pioneering Robot Experience “. In the second theme of the seminar Yousef al Harthy talked about the “Internet of Things, while Qais al Kindi about a “Pioneering Omani Experience”. Dr Said bin Hamad al Rubaie, Secretary-General of the Education Council, and Dr Saud bin Salim al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Educational Planning and Human Resources Development attended the seminar. — ONA
