Muscat, Nov 27 – An exhibition on environment was organised by Environmental Protection Team, a voluntary team founded by youth initiative, at Lulu Hypermarket in Al Khabourah. The exhibition included 54 works of art on environment and how to protect it from dangers. The Al Khabourah Municipality also participated. It was opened by Said bin Nasser al Abdali, Director of the Department of Environment and Climate Affairs in Suhar, and attended by directors of government departments and members of the Municipal Council.
Ahmed bin Ali al Rawahi, deputy director of the team, in his speech, explained the importance of the exhibition. The opening of the exhibition saw a video presentation on important works of the team, including awareness lectures and initiatives. “The exhibition is beautiful and rich with student talent, which have been translated through paintings that reflect the love for environment,” said Wojood bint Khamis al Khamisi, supervisor of the Fine Arts Group at Al Hadaya School for Basic Education, one of the participating schools.
