MUSCAT: Khaled Salim Said Hamed al Harrasi, a level 3 GFP student at Modern College of Business and Science, won the second runner-up title at the inter-college Spelling Bee contest organised last week by the Scientific College of Design, Muscat.
As many as 35 Omani students from various colleges including Modern College, Higher College of Technology, Oman College of Technology, College of Business and Financial Studies, Scientific College of Design and Majan College participated enthusiastically in the contest.
Another student from the Modern College, Mahra Suwaidan al Hosni, a level 2 student, reached the elimination round of the Spell Bee contest. HCT students won the first two honours.
