MUSCAT: Dhofar and Salalah clubs secured their slots in the Sultanate table tennis championship which will take part in September next year. Dhofar club led the league table of Dhofar Governorate qualifications by eight points during the competitions held at Salalah Sports Complex on Friday and Suturday. The Salalah giant registered four victories against Al Ettihad, Mirbat and Al Nasr by 3-0 result while they won against Salalah 3-1. On the other hand, Salalah ended as the second placed team in the league table with seven points. They defeated Al Ettihad, Mirbat and Al Nasr 3-0 and lost their game against Dhofar 3-1. Oman Table Tennis Committee are gearing up to hold Muscat Governorate qualifications during May 11 to 12 at indoor hall in the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex. Seeb, Saham, Al Nahdha and Ibri secured their slots in the Sultanate table tennis championship as they became the top four teams in the last edition of the championship.
