Delegated by His Majesty Sayyid Asaad to attend Arab Summit

MUSCAT: Delegated by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tareq al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, will leave on Tuesday for Jordan to lead the Sultanate’s delegation at the 28th Arab Summit, scheduled to be held in Jordan.
HH Sayyid Asaad will be accompanied by an official delegation comprising Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Legal Affairs, Dr Fuad bin Jaafar al Sajwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Khalifa bin Hamad al Badi, Adviser at the Office of the Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, Saif bin Ahmed al Sawafi, Adviser at the Office of the Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, Khamis bin Mohammed al Farsi, Sultanate’s Ambassador to Jordan, Ali bin Ahmed al Isaee, Sultanate’s Ambassador to Egypt, its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League, Abdullah bin Hamad al Badi, Head of Human Resources at the Foreign Ministry, and Mubarak bin Hamad al Mukhaini, Head of the Arab League Department at the Foreign Ministry.
Meanwhile, the Sultanate on Monday took part in the foreign ministers’ meeting in preparation for the Arab Summit due to be held on Wednesday in the Dead Sea.
The Sultanate’s delegation was chaired Alawi.
Alawi said in a statement that the agreement to hold the Arab Summit in Jordan considered a renewal to the Arab joint action represented in the Palestinian cause and supporting the Palestinian people to obtain their rights in an independent state with full sovereignty with Al Quds as its capital.
He expressed his confidence over the chairmanship of King Abdallah II of Jordan at the summit along with the Arab leaders to solve other Arab issues. — ONA
