MUSCAT, DEC 4 - The Department of Craft Industries in North Batinah organised a ceremony under the auspices of Shaikh Sulaiman bin Salem al Mahrouqi, Wali of Al Khabourah. The ceremony included presentation of a poetic operetta, traditional piece and an Omani fashion show for the children of the assembly corner. Hamad bin Salem al Maamari, Marketing Director of the Department, in his speech referred to the efforts of the General Authority for Craft Industries to upgrade and promote craft industries through the rehabilitation of craftsmen and practitioners of the profession and provide training opportunities. He also added that investment in the art is an important national demand for achieving professional development, and a suitable ground for investment in SMEs. The patron of the ceremony also honoured the participants.
