Council members visit military exercise site

MUSCAT: A number of members of the State Council, commanders and retired officials on Monday visited the site of the ‘Joint Effort Exercise 10’, which is carried out by the Sultanate with the participation of a number of military, security and civil sectors.
They were received upon their arrival at the joint Command HQs at Muaskar Al Murtafa’a by Maj Gen Matar bin Salim al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), Commander of the Joint Troops.
Brig General Mohammed bin Abdullah al Makhini, Head of the Planning Team for Shamoukh 2 and Swift Sword 3 exercises, gave a briefing on the exercise to the visitors.
The visiting guests toured a number of the exercise control cells, during which they were briefed on missions and duties assigned to them and their roles in achieving the exercise purposes. — ONA
