Ash’shura chief receives message from Kuwait

MUSCAT: Shaikh Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura, received a written message from Marzouq al Ghanim, Speaker of the Al Ummah Council in Kuwait. The message was handed over by Fahd Hajar al Mutairi, Kuwaiti Ambassador to the Sultanate, when the Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura received him at the HQs’ of the Majlis on Monday. Al Maawali welcomed the Kuwaiti Ambassador, praising the outstanding bilateral relations between the Sultanate and Kuwait.  The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the legislative and oversight fields and means of enhancing the parliamentary work among the legislative councils in various regional and international forums. The meeting was attended by Mohammed bin Abu Bakir al Ghasani, Deputy Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura and Shaikh Ali bin Nasser al Mahrouqi, Secretary-General of the Majlis. — ONA
