BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam on Saturday received at the Istana Nurul Iman Palace His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tareq al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan.
HH Sayyid Asaad has conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos greetings along with his wishes of good health, well-being and perpetual success to the Sultan of Brunei.
On this part, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam asked HH Sayyid Asaad to convey his greetings along with his wishes of good health, well-being and long life to His Majesty and the friendly Omani people more progress and prosperity under His Majesty’s rule.
The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam expressed to HH Sayyid Asaad his appreciation for the Sultanate’s participation in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Sultan’s accession to the throne of Brunei Darussalam.
During the meeting, HH Sayyid Asaad bin Tareq, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan presented a gift to the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam on the occasion of his accession to the throne.
The meeting was attended by Pehin Lim Jock, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei Darussalam; Pengiran Datin Shazainah Binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Shariffuddin, Permanent Secretary for International Relations at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Khalifa bin Hamad al Badi and Ahmed al Sawafi, Advisors at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty also took part in the meeting. — ONA
