SALALAH: Prateek Das of Indian School Salalah painted his way to fame with his painting featuring in a prestigious international peace calendar.

The ISS fraternity expressed joy over his achievement that brought laurels for the school as well. Prateek was honoured by the School Management Committee President Ram Santhanam and Principal T R Brown on the occasion of India’s Republic Day. The school extended special invitation to Prateek’s parents to be part of the honour ceremony.

The Indo-Pak Peace Calendar is an initiative of Aaghaz-e-Dosti, a friendship initiative of India-based Mission Bhartiyam and Pakistan-based The Catalyst of Peace.

“The true meaning of peace that I feel is a world without war and fear, where people live with friendship, freedom, equality and love. I want not only people of India and Pakistan live in peace but everyone in the world also,” said Prateek Das, a grade VIII student of the school.
