By Amal Al Riyami — NIZWA: May 3 - A private schools’ forum was organised by the Private Schools Department of the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah at the Educational Training and Professional Development Centre in Nizwa. The forum, whose slogan was ‘Read, Play and Learn’, was attended by a large group of children from private schools. The forum was opened in the presence of Ahmed bin Jabr al Mahrouqi, Assistant Director-General for Educational Programmes, Educational Evaluation and Private Schools in the Governorate. It also saw Amal bint Khalifa al Shukri, Director of the Private Schools Department.
It included a number of activities aimed at developing children’s abilities and highlighting their talents in various fields. The educational games exhibition, ‘My games are the secret of my abilities’, was also opened on the occasion. It included educational aids combining science and entertainment. Education City participated in the exhibition with the latest educational products and publications. The event also saw a special corner for people with disabilities. The forum included theatre activities and a corner for sports, scientific and recreational competitions. A number of educational work papers were submitted that targeted private school teachers and helped them deal with students.
