No ban on R22 gas in Sultanate

Muscat, august 20 - The Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs refuted reports of a ban on R22 gas and replacing it with R410. It also called upon the public to rely on reports from authentic sources. R22 is a gas used in refrigerators and air-conditioning systems. Some cooling system have come with an environment-friendly alternative, which is R410, because it contains no chlorine. It is also considered ozone-friendly.
