MUSCAT: The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) is sailing on Saturday in the Islamic spiritual music surroundings by holding a concert entitled “Ebtihalat” which brings together two of the brightest stars in the Arab and Islamic world and the best of the religious songs and chants in contemporary Arabic music and songs: Tunisian Singer and Oud player Lutfi Bouchnaq and the Egyptian Opera House star famous Egyptian singer Mohamed Tharwat.


The sweetness of the concert led by Maestro Ahmed Taha is complete by the beautiful voices of Retaj, a choir of young Omanis devoted to Inshad. The choir will present several songs including the Malid art which is the main focus of the Omani inshad.


The event will be held at 7 pm on Saturday, September 23. A coffee and date session with Lotfi Bouchnaq and Mohamed Tharwat will be held on the evening of Friday, September 22. — ONA
