Muscat, Nov 20 - An exhibition of vintage vehicles was organised by the Directorate General of Transport, Muscat Municipality, in Bausher as part of the National Day celebrations. According to the Classic Car Team members, 250 owners of vintage cars from across Oman are taking part in the exhibition. Most of the cars on display were over 30 years old and the models included Toyota (Cressida), Nissan Datsun, Mini Cooper, Cadillac, Mercedes and Ford, among others. A 1904-make Ford car was also on display. “A lot of such cars are used for activities such as drifting. Such expos offer incentives to owners for preserving their cars,” said Isaa Abdullah Dohani of the Classic Cars Team. A similar exhibition was organised in Al Suwaiq recently, which saw some 300 vintage cars.
