MUSCAT, Nov 22 - Enata kiteboard racing team director Pablo Soldano is a man dedicated to sailing industry.

With his rich experience in sail-making, the Italian is upbeat about the sport and his team Enata.

“Kite foiling is an extremely interesting sport, very hi-tech yet so simple,” Soldano said during the 2017 Formula Kite World Championships in Oman.

Enata is based in Dubai and has been a manufacturer in kite foiling industry.

Enata Industries is a multi-disciplinary marine, aerospace and architecture conglomerate and its kite equipment is a combination of years of expertise in aero and hydrodynamics.

“Our company manufactures the equipment for this sport t riders across the world including for Olympic riders,” Soldano told Oman Observer.

Soldano is a coach with intense knowledge about the design and engineering of the kite boards and the other equipment required for the sport.

“This is a nature-friendly sport. The hi-tech foils are made of most exotic carbon. There is some aero-dynamics involved in making the kite foils with advanced technology,” he said.

Environment is closely considered in the adrenaline-raising sport with no engines and pollution caused during the races.

“This is a clean sport with no engines involved and we can enjoy the scene of kiteboarders riding on the consistent sea breezes.”

There are a lot of process before the final kiteboards, foils, sails and strings come out for the riders to excel in the extreme sport.

“The equipment come out after several tests and expert analysis and thus it helps to create the spectacle on the waters.”

Leading specialists in their fields employ cutting edge technology and computer simulation at every stage of kites’ planning and build. Each product can take up to three months in the making from concept to completion, perfectly engineered to complement the other.

On the expectations about his team, the coach said they have high hopes in the world championships. “Our riders were among several podiums across the world. It is our high preference not to miss podiums,” the enthusiastic sailing director said.

The Enata team consists six French riders – four men and two women.

“The Enata team wants to make a good impression at this world championships regardless of the final results,” he concluded.
