Join us on Saturday January 13 at 12.30pm for Lunch Music at the main entrance of Opera Galleria Mall. Our wonderful series of informal opera performances continues with performers from the Fondazione Arena di Verona ahead of their performance of La Sonnambula at The Royal Opera House Muscat. The programme will consist of a selection of arias from the popular operas of Vincenzo Bellini, such as Carmen and Roméo and Juliette. The performance will include 4 singers and pianist.
Lunch Music has been gaining momentum as a cultural event in Muscat over the past few months and is widely considered a fun and engaging experience shared by all nationalities and ages in Oman. Families are encouraged to bring their children and friends; and cafes and restaurants offer enticing discounts for those who’d like to combine the visit with lunch or coffee: Café Richoux 20 per cent, Caramel and Indus 25 per cent, Chanteclair 15 per cent. The relaxed informal atmosphere offers people the choice of how they would like to enjoy the music. Seats are available, bystanders are encouraged, passersby have the chance to catch two minutes of the music and children roam freely in this fabulous atmosphere of unforced cultural pleasure. Additionally there is no cost to the event.
