Mwasalat launched the Mawaleh North - Al Khuwayr (Route 8) service on Fridy as part of the plans to expand the public transport network in the Muscat Governorate.
The route passes through a number of vital institutions and attractions frequented by the people.
Using new buses, the service will be operated every 30 minutes from 6am on weekdays and public holidays, and the public can buy tickets from the bus.
Buses will have separate section for families and women, people with special needs and free Wi-Fi is available.
Mawasalat has urged everyone to use public transport buses because of their economic, social and environmental importance to the individuals and society.
