Coach Verbeek announces national team squad for Jordan camp

MUSCAT, August 27Oman national team head coach Peter Pim Verbeek announced the Oman squad for the Jordan external camp which will take part on August 31 to September 12. The external camp is in line with the preparation plan supervised by Verbeek for the Asian Cup which will be held in UAE in January next year. The Jordan camp will include a friendly match against Jordan on September 11. The Dutchman unveiled preparation details of the ‘Red Warriors’ for the Asian Cup in UAE in a press conference held last May. As per the plan, the Oman national team will travel to Qatar to have another external camp from October 7 to 16. Also, Oman will take on Ecuador in a friendly match on October 16.


In November, the Arabian Gulf Cup champions will have an internal camp at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex for a one week period from November 12 to 20. This internal camp will include Oman’s friendly match against Kyrgyzstan on November 18.
