MUSCAT: The Ministry of Social Development, in cooperation with Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), organized today the joint interactive scientific meeting titled "Child Protection as an Integrated System Between Research and National Mechanisms," held at SQU’s Cultural Centre.
The meeting aimed to enhance integration between academic and practical entities in the field of child protection, and link the outcomes of studies and research with the national mechanisms adopted by the Ministry of Social Development, in a manner that contributes to developing the protection system and promoting the best interests of the child.
The meeting targeted specialists in a number of entities concerned with child protection, including the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Defense, Royal Oman Police (ROP), the Public Prosecution, the Ministry of Education, civil society organizations, Sultan Qaboos University students, thereby enhancing the exchange of expertise and experiences and the integration of roles in this field. - ONA
