British rockers Oasis last week announced a new world tour in 2027 after the sell-out success of their surprise comeback last year, with 38 shows planned across Britain, Europe and the US.
Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher will play 11 dates in their hometown Manchester, alongside shows in Glasgow, Munich, Paris, Amsterdam and Boston.
The tour will begin in Glasgow in May and end with four September shows at Knebworth, north of London, where the band played legendary gigs in 1996.
The group behind Britpop hits "Wonderwall", "Don't Look Back in Anger" and "Supersonic" had been teasing another reunion tour for weeks.
They announced it on social media with the caption "start the celebrations!"
"After a period of reflection, 'The Most Damaging Pop Cultural Force In Recent British History' has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people," the band wrote.
"It shall be a sight to behold."
Fans must register for a chance to buy tickets when sales open between September 25 and 27. Successful applicants will receive access codes, a system intended to reduce queues and ticket touting.
The Gallaghers announced the end of their infamous 15-year feud in August 2024, triggering a scramble for reunion tickets.
More than two million people attended 41 shows across Europe, Asia, Australia and South America, generating about £300 million ($400 million).
Sudden price increases and soaring resale costs drew criticism from fans and prompted an investigation by Britain's competition watchdog. — AFP
