MUSCAT: Al Mouj Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman’s premier destination for major sporting and lifestyle events, has announced its sponsorship of the Oman U15 national football team as they prepare to represent Oman at the upcoming U15 World Cup.

The partnership with the Oman Football Association (OFA) reflects a shared commitment to investing in young Omani talent and creating opportunities that contribute to the long-term development of national sport.

The 14-player national squad will represent Oman at the inaugural Fifa U15 World Cup 2026 in Azerbaijan, beginning on October 22. The milestone represents a significant step forward for Omani youth football, giving some of the country’s most promising young players the opportunity to test themselves internationally and gain valuable experience at a formative stage in their development.

Sayyid Sulaiman bin Hamood al Busaidi, OFA Chairman, said: “Oman’s appearance at a U15 World Cup is an important step in the development of our young players and our ambitions for Omani football. Building strong pathways for emerging talent requires partners who recognise the importance of investing at an early stage. Al Mouj Muscat’s support demonstrates the value of organisations working alongside the Oman Football Association to help shape the future of the game.”

Ahmed al Massan, Acting CEO of Al Mouj Muscat, said: “The strength of any nation’s sporting future depends on how effectively we turn young talent into opportunity. That means giving the next generation the exposure, experience and confidence to fulfil their potential and broaden their sense of what is possible. At Al Mouj Muscat, we see sport as a powerful investment in Oman’s human potential, building ambition, strengthening communities and inspiring young people to pursue excellence. We are proud to play our part in creating those opportunities for Omani talent.”

The sponsorship extends Al Mouj Muscat’s longstanding role in using sport as a platform for community participation, national pride and positive social impact. Over the past two decades, the destination has helped bring major international sporting experiences to Oman while promoting active lifestyles and widening opportunities for people to engage with sport.
