Muscat: The Royal Hospital opened nominations for the selection of a community representative to join its Board of Directors, as part of efforts to strengthen community participation in healthcare decision-making.

The initiative aims to contribute to representing the voices of patients and the community, supporting the development of healthcare services and enhancing the patient experience.

According to the hospital, candidates should be community members with an interest in developing healthcare services and improving the patient experience. They should also have relevant experience or community or voluntary contributions.

Candidates are required to have the ability to communicate effectively and represent community views objectively, in addition to being willing to participate actively and comply with the requirements of board membership.

The initiative reflects the Royal Hospital’s efforts to strengthen communication with the community and incorporate patients’ and community members’ perspectives into the development of healthcare services.
