

JEDDAH: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth participated in the scientific seminar organised by the General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), within the framework of activating communication channels among Islamic countries on youth issues and cultural diplomacy, under the title 'Youth, Cultural Diplomacy, and Leadership Skill Development.'
The ministry's participation stems from its keenness to enhance the role of youth as a pivotal pillar in leadership creation and in representing cultural identity, in line with the latest international practices in the fields of cultural diplomacy and capacity building.
The ministry affirmed that the seminar formed a scientific platform to discuss a set of main themes, foremost among which were the role of youth in cultural diplomacy and the development of leadership skills among youth, in addition to cooperation mechanisms among Islamic countries that contribute to exchanging expertise and translating ideas into practical initiatives supporting the cultural presence of youth and developing their leadership capabilities.
In the context of the ministry's participation, focus was placed on exchanging views and reviewing models and programmes that can be built upon within the framework of cooperation among Islamic countries, as well as supporting youth empowerment pathways to enhance their participation in cultural work and the formulation of relevant policies and programmes. - ONA
