

MANAMA: The Sultanate of Oman on Thursday took part in the 30th meeting of Commanders of Air Forces and Air Defence in GCC states.
The meeting was hosted by the Bahraini Royal Air Force in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Defence Force.
Oman was represented at the meeting by Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO).
The meeting discussed matters related to joint GCC military action with the prime objective of ensuring the development of the systems of GCC air defence and air forces in a manner that enables them to continue to advance and address different challenges.
The meeting was attended by commanders of GCC air defence and air forces, in addition to Maj Gen Salman bin Ibrahim al Fadhala, Assistant Secretary-General for Military Affairs at the GCC Secretariat-General, and Maj Gen Abdulaziz al Balawi, Commander of the Unified Military Command of the GCC States. - ONA
