Muscat, August 22:

Otech, the technology arm of Omantel, has announced a collaboration with Remedy, a startup that emerged from Omantel Innovation Labs and is part of its investment portfolio, to launch an advanced enterprise platform designed to support strategic planning and enterprise performance management using artificial intelligence technologies.

The collaboration and the launch of the RISE Talent enterprise platform form part of Otech’s commitment to adopting future technologies, strengthening Oman’s national technology innovation ecosystem, supporting local content and enabling startups to develop their innovations into enterprise solutions. These efforts are expected to open up broader opportunities for future technologies and solutions that address the diverse needs of businesses across the Sultanate of Oman, while creating new avenues for growth in the digital economy.

Otech will collaborate on the development and deployment of RISE Talent within its enterprise environment to leverage the platform’s advanced capabilities in enterprise performance and human capital management. These include aligning strategic objectives through Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and cascading them across different organisational levels, as well as talent management and the employee experience through competency framework management, recruitment, learning and development, performance management and career pathways. The platform also provides AI-powered workforce analytics and digital self-service capabilities, contributing to a more efficient, agile and future-ready workplace.

Commenting on the collaboration, Eng Maqbool bin Salim al Wahaibi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Otech, said: “This partnership represents an extension of Otech’s commitment to supporting innovation and enabling technology startups to transform their ideas and solutions into enterprise applications that deliver tangible impact. We believe that building a competitive digital economy requires an integrated environment that brings together homegrown innovation, technology expertise and the actual needs of organisations.”

He added: “We will continue to connect innovators and startups with enterprise opportunities and provide the capabilities that enable them to develop scalable solutions for the Omani market and beyond. Our partnership with Remedy reflects the model of collaboration that we aspire to strengthen in support of Omani technology and the development of a knowledge-based economy”.

Eng Al Wahaibi noted that Otech continues to invest in adopting advanced technology solutions that enhance business efficiency and strengthen its enterprise capabilities. He emphasised that artificial intelligence is one of the most important technologies of the future and a key driver in reshaping business models, improving operational efficiency, fostering innovation and enabling organisations to make smarter and more forward-looking decisions.

For his part, Turki bin Abdulhafidh al Balushi, Co-founder of Remedy, said: “Our partnership with Otech enables us to move our solutions from the development stage to practical implementation within enterprise environments, while benefiting from Otech’s technology expertise to better understand organisational needs and deliver more integrated and scalable solutions”.

He added: “At Remedy, we focus on developing AI-powered tools that help organisations connect strategy with execution, improve performance management and provide real-time insights that enable leaders and employees to make more effective decisions”.

Founded in 2020, Remedy, the development partner behind the RISE Talent platform, specialises in applying artificial intelligence solutions to address complex organisational and human capital challenges. As one of the companies incubated within Omantel Innovation Labs, Remedy brings expertise in applied artificial intelligence, performance diagnostics and decision intelligence, supporting the practical application of generative AI in enterprise execution.

The partnership supports the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 in innovation, digital transformation and national capability development. It also strengthens the role of Omani startups in developing locally built technology solutions with the potential to grow and expand regionally and internationally.
