MUSCAT: The Serdal Leadership and Skills Development Programme, one of OQ’s social investment programmes, the global energy investment group, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education represented by the Career Guidance and Student Counselling Center and implemented by Oman Sail, has successfully concluded its activities. The programme provided 188 students from Al Batinah North, Al Batinah South, Al Sharqiyah North, and Al Dakhiliyah governorates with a transformative learning experience designed to develop leadership qualities and essential life skills.
The programme’s closing day was attended by Dr Khamis bin Salim al Jabri, CEO of Oman Sail, alongside senior representatives from OQ and the Ministry of Education, who had the opportunity to review the programme’s outcomes and learn more about the skills and experiences gained by the students throughout their participation.
The programme engaged students from Grades 9 to 11, including 94 male and 94 female participants, through a series of activities and practical challenges aimed at strengthening leadership, communication, teamwork, problem-solving and decision-making skills. The experience also encouraged initiative, self-confidence and a deeper appreciation of Omani values and identity.
By combining knowledge with hands-on application, Serdal provided participants with meaningful opportunities to discover their potential, broaden their perspectives and build readiness for the opportunities and challenges ahead. The high levels of engagement and commitment demonstrated by the students throughout the programme reflected its positive impact on their personal growth and leadership development.
