

MUSCAT: Al Hamra recorded the highest rainfall in Oman at 61mm during the period from August 8 to 9, according to figures released by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
Yanqul received the second-highest rainfall at 48mm, followed by Ibri with 45mm and Salalah with 36mm.
Other significant rainfall totals included 26mm in Bahla, 24mm in Jabal Akhdar, 21mm in Al Buraimi and 19mm in Rakhyut.
Masirah and Taqah recorded 16mm each, while Nakhal received 14mm. Mirbat and Al Mudhaibi recorded 13mm each, and Al Rustaq received 10mm.
Rainfall was also recorded in several other wilayats, including Dhalkut, Al Qabil, Ibra, Bidiyah, Samail, Sinaw, Thumrait, Nizwa, Izki, Adam, Saham, Dhank, Haima and Al Jazir.
