MUSCAT: Fighters from around 15 countries will converge on Muscat for FFC 6.0 – FITBOX Fighting Championship, which will be held at the secondary indoor hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher on Friday, July 31, 2026.
The international combat sports event is organised by Kerdi Trading SPC under the direct supervision of the company’s owner and FFC 6.0 Organising Committee Chairman, Ali Bilal Kerdi. Sohar International will present the championship, with Muscat Steel and Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC among several sponsors and partners supporting the event.
The fight card features 15 professional contests across different mixed martial arts weight divisions, in addition to a Muay Thai bout. Fighters representing leading international combat sports teams and academies, including Team Khabib and Team Khamzat, will take part in the championship.
The evening will be headlined by a middleweight contest between Russian fighter Yaqoub and Iran’s Amir Ardalen, while Oman’s Abdulmajeed will face Iranian opponent Aref Ali in the heavyweight division.
Another major contest will see Russian fighter Sharapudin take on Britain’s Sia in the super middleweight division. The card also features fighters from Oman, Russia, Iran, Brazil, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia, Pakistan, Norway and Uzbekistan, among other countries.
The sixth edition will place particular emphasis on Omani participation, with Abdulmajeed, Nawaf, Musab, Mahmoud and Aymen among the local fighters set to compete against opponents from different international schools and combat sports backgrounds.
Nawaf will face Iran’s Pejman in a super middleweight contest, while Musab will meet Egypt’s Mohammed at welterweight. Mahmoud is scheduled to take on Iranian fighter Sobhan in the super heavyweight division, while Aymen will compete against Pakistan’s Mustafa in the Muay Thai bout.
According to the organising committee, the participation of Omani fighters represents one of the main features of this year’s championship. The card also includes three Omani brothers, alongside the other local competitors, highlighting the continued growth of combat sports in the Sultanate of Oman.
Ali Bilal Kerdi said the latest edition marked an important step in the championship’s technical and organisational development.
“We have worked to deliver an international championship featuring fighters from around 15 countries, alongside representatives of well-known global teams and academies, including Team Khabib and Team Khamzat,” Kerdi said.
Omani participation is also a central part of this edition. We aim to provide local fighters with a genuine opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and gain valuable experience by competing against international opponents.
Kerdi said the organisers were working to stage the event in accordance with high technical and organisational standards, with particular attention given to the safety of both fighters and spectators.
“The venue, medical arrangements and logistical preparations have been designed to meet the requirements of a professional combat sports championship. We hope FFC 6.0 will further strengthen Oman’s position as a destination for hosting international combat sports events,” he added.
Doors will open to spectators and official guests at 5 pm, followed by the formal opening ceremony at 6 pm. The professional and main-card bouts are scheduled to begin at 6.30 pm, with the programme expected to continue until around midnight before the winners are honoured and presented with trophies and prizes.
FFC 6.0 aims to support the development of mixed martial arts and other combat sports in Oman, promote emerging national talent and provide local fighters with a competitive pathway to gain experience, while enhancing the country’s growing profile as a host of major international sporting events.
