Oman's men's national volleyball team produced a memorable campaign to win the 2nd WAVA Men's Volleyball Championship Muscat 2026, defeating Qatar 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-23) in the final at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. Backed by passionate home support, Oman displayed impressive teamwork, disciplined defence and clinical attacking to secure the West Asian title in dominant fashion.
The hosts opened the tournament with a straight-sets victory over Lebanon, suffered a narrow five-set defeat to Saudi Arabia, then bounced back by beating Iraq to reach the semifinals, where they overcame Kuwait to book a place in the final. Oman also excelled in the individual awards, with Falah al Jaradi named Best All-Round Player, Abdullah al Maqbali Best Libero, Majid al Shibli Best Opposite Hitter and Mahmoud al Saadi Best Outside Hitter, capping a historic home triumph.
