Another round of US strikes on Iran was followed by Iranian retaliation across the Gulf overnight and on Saturday morning.

US forces said they had struck Iranian surveillance sites, underground weapons depots and other military infrastructure during a seventh consecutive night of attacks.

Iranian media again reported that the strikes had hit civilian infrastructure.

Kuwait and Bahrain came under fire once more, while explosions were also reported in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. All four countries host US military bases.

The US military did not say exactly where it had carried out its strikes, but Iranian state broadcaster IRIB reported explosions near Sirik, close to the Strait of Hormuz, and in the coastal city of Bandar Abbas.

Iran's Fars news agency reported renewed strikes on bridges in the southern province of Hormozgan. State broadcaster Press TV said at least three civilians had been killed and eight others injured there.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that a US drone had been shot down near Bushehr, according to Press TV.

The broadcaster said two oil tankers were on fire south of the Strait of Hormuz. US Central Command (CENTCOM) rejected that account in a post on X. It later posted that the latest wave of US strikes had ended.

Tehran warns its enemies

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei wrote on X late on Friday that the Iranian people were even more determined to make their enemies "bitterly regret this criminal aggression."

Mohsen Rezaei, an adviser to Iran's supreme leader, warned that the country would enter a phase of "offence and destruction" if US attacks continued for another two or three days. Iran would then no longer limit itself to retaliatory measures, the Al Jazeera broadcaster quoted him as saying in an interview with IRIB.

The US military is now targeting a wider range of sites in Iran and moving fighter jets from Europe to the Middle East, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Axios reported that Washington had informed Israel it was sending dozens more tanker aircraft to the region ahead of a possible expansion of military operations against Iran.

- Casualties reported -

Iranian state-controlled IRNA news agency said Saturday that US strikes had killed three and wounded eight people in Hormozgan, a province in the country's south.

- Blasts in central Iran -

Five explosions were heard in the central Iranian city of Yazd shortly after US strikes were announced, according to the IRNA state news agency.

Mehr, another state-controlled agency, reported explosions "in several provinces in the south" of the country.

- 'Full-scale offensive' -

Tehran threatened to resume "full-scale offensive operations" if US strikes continue over the coming days, Major General Mohsen Rezaei said, according to state-controlled news agency IRIB.

"Iran will no longer limit itself to retaliatory, like-for-like responses... and no political border will be safe," he said.

- UN chief condemnation -

UN chief Antonio Guterres called attacks on civilian infrastructure in Iran and elsewhere in the region "unacceptable".

- Climbing toll -

Iranian state media reported Friday that at least eight people were killed and 20 wounded in US attacks.

Iranian authorities urged citizens to cut back on electricity use, including air conditioners, after saying the grid was under strain from US strikes on power facilities.

- Oil higher -

The virtual closure of the Strait of Hormuz sent oil higher, with Brent crude back above $88.1 a barrel at the US close on Friday.

"The ongoing conflict, combined with threats to major shipping routes such as the Strait of Hormuz and potentially the Red Sea, has increased uncertainty across global financial markets," said Trade Nation analyst David Morrison.

- Iranian Kurdish rebels hit -

Drone and rocket strikes killed nine members of an Iranian Kurdish armed opposition group in Iraq's Kurdistan region, the exiled party said, blaming the attack on Iran.
