MUSCAT: Oman has been elected to lead the Arab Hockey Federation for the 2026–2030 term, with Dr Marwan bin Juma al Juma, Chairman of the Oman Hockey Association, chosen as the federation's new president during the General Assembly meeting held in Muscat. The meeting was attended by International Hockey Federation (FIH) President Tayyab Ikram and representatives of member associations from across the Arab region.

The General Assembly also approved the relocation of the Arab Hockey Federation's headquarters to Muscat. Madain bin Ahmed Bait Habdhah was appointed Secretary-General, while Mohammed Al Mandil of Saudi Arabia was elected First Vice-President and Egypt's Tamer Hosny was named Second Vice-President. Bahrain and Iraq were also admitted as new members of the federation.

Al Juma described the election as the beginning of a new chapter for Arab hockey, stressing the importance of collective cooperation among member associations to develop the sport across the region. He also praised the strong relationship between Oman and the International Hockey Federation, expressing confidence that the new leadership would strengthen the federation's regional and international presence.
